Pamela Mills

I began my work career tutoring at the Riverside Community College which had led me to teaching throughout my life.  In the California Conservation Corps I was training and teaching the member on my crew.  As an Ameri-Corps teamleader, I taught and trained teachers, my team, and students k-12 the importance of watershed stewardship, community service and science education in the watershed. Later I worked with the developmentally disables and taught them work and life skills.  Currently I am now teaching arts and crafts.

As someone with life long disabilities I have had to learn to manage my disabilities.  I have been able to do forestry work, watershed restoration, field geology work, landscaping and worked with the developmentally disabled all because of managing my disabilities.  Now I am once again learning how to manage a disability that completely changed my life and made me unable to work.  Since my diagnosis 8 years ago, I have had to learn about my disability, my limitations, how I can stretch my limits, and how to deal with set backs.  I still have good days, and bad days- but I get through the bad days and embrace the good days.  I have kept going to the point now that I am life coaching, I am a professional artist and I am also teaching arts and crafts.
